Do you or does someone you know have a musical instrument that is not being used? Please consider donating it to The Clifford Brown Jazz Foundation. Our instrument loan program is available to talented youngsters whose families cannot afford to buy an instrument. Unfortunately, most schools around the country no longer have rental programs, so demand is high. A student may keep the instrument as long as he/she plays it, stays in school and maintains a passing GPA, and is not involved with drugs and/or alcohol. Due to lack of inventory, we are unable to provide all the needed instruments.
The Internal Revenue Service has determined that CBJF is a non-profit, publicly supported organization as described in section 501(c)(3) of the Revenue Code. As such, donors may deduct contributions, bequests, legacies, transfers, or gifts to the extent allowed by law. As a donor, you will receive a letter from us acknowledging your contribution. You may use the letter to verify your income tax deduction.
Instruments needing repair will also be gladly accepted. The Foundation will pay shipping charges. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
